We’re No Longer On newTumbl (and we don’t recommend using it)
You might have noticed we’ve vanished from newTumbl.
We had been present there since the collapse of Tumblr and we’d built quite the following. We even encouraged other adult communities to join and we heavily promoted its use, hoping that it would be different from all the others.
Unfortunately, newTumbl is now doing what many other social networks have done in the past once they’ve used adult content and proclamations of “creative freedom” to build a user base.
They’re on a mass purge.
Rumors are they’re currently deleting hundreds of blogs per day, the vast majority of them are considered non-straight.
Let me be clear – we have never breached their terms of use, we even reported other users who did. We were responsible users of their platform and yet they still decided to end our use of it without consideration and without recourse.
We had big hopes for newTumbl when it started. It quickly became the leader of the pack among platforms created to take advantage of the implosion of Tumblr, but it’s now clear that even if you follow their terms of use to the letter you will still be nuked at the whim of a bigoted employee.
If the rumors are true all male-focused adult content there is being annihilated right now, so in the coming months we expect newTumbl to go the way Tumblr did when they enacted the same puritan crackdown on adult content.
While we have recommended newTumbl for our readers in the past, we no longer believe it’s a stable platform. Unless you’re just using it as a blank account for DMs and making contact and you don’t plan to post or repost anything, it’s not worth wasting your time there.
We absolutely do not recommend posting anything you don’t want to lose, or try to build a following there.

Yeah, it sucks. I noticed yesterday they were spreading a really arrogant and threatening post about deleting accounts. It was really pretty shocking the way they were treating their own users, threatening everyone that they could be deleted any second and there was nothing anyone could do.
Imagine walking into a restaurant and the head chef is standing there laughing maniacally that you could die from food poisoning but there’s nothing you can do about it. Who in their right fucking mind would want to eat there? lol
They’re twats, and they’re about to go the same way Tumblr went.
This makes 3 blogs i follow there deleted since yesterday. none of them did anything dodgy at all. they’re definitely on a vendetta and purging lgbt+ and bator blogs. They’ve probably hired a bigot incel or something and he’s raging and taking down everything he doesn’t like. I have a few followers there so i’ll share this post and hopefully theyll just come here. Im not posting there anymore. No point if they’re just gonna fuck everyone over.
We saw a few blogs disappear before we were deleted and the rumor is they’re purging hundreds every day now. All of them are bator/LGBT+/queer blogs.
Like you say, why would anyone want to build a following there when they’re just going to delete you without explanation and with no opportunity to even ask why?
Seems like a recipe for failure for any social media site that relies on user-generated content. You can’t trust that your account will be there tomorrow, so no one should bother trying it.
I’m not sure what their angle is…but the vast majority of the stuff on my page and a few friends I made on there was straight content and we got taken down. I think they’re just on a mad tear against anything sexual/pornographic

The same thing happened to me…without warning last night while I was in the middle of a conversation with someone on there. Incredibly pissed about this, as archaic as the sites layout was, I was really enjoying it, I’m also annoyed that I had so many things posted/saved on there that are now lost
We had a few dozen great posts I’d spent time on waiting to be published this month. Not even a warning, just gone.
It might be the WORST I have ever seen from any social media site. At least Twitter would give you a reason for the ban.
Social media is really a hellscape of demented behaviour related to messed up EULAs, the constant breaches of those same EULAs, and ever-changing content regulations. Some say run to Twitter, but come on! Daddy Elon has proposed many things, including banning pornography and erotic content. Why? Because he’s Daddy Elon and can’t pick a lane.
I think we were on Twitter once, a long time ago. Not sure I could trust it now with Elon in charge. It’s a total crap show there right now. Whenever I follow a link to look at something entirely normal underneath it there’s a screed of racism, misogyny, homophobia and all the usual far-right crap stains spewing culture war bullshit. Not sure I want to support a social media site like that.
So it wasn’t just me? My blog with 2K followers was deleted Wednesday. No reason given. I never posted anything against their terms either.
They are definitely on a vendetta.
I really hope it dies. It deserves to. They lured everyone in promising to be a great place for adult communities and now they’re just mass culling everyone who built their platform.

They dumped me without warning or explanation in January. I had been with them almost since Day One.
My small blog of a hundred followers was deleted when I checked this morning. Straight blog. No reason. Never broke any rules. It’s sad. Even though it was buggy it was a promising platform. They’re just destroying their own platform. I think someone probably took over and they’re going after anything they personally don’t like.
I got booted twice. I don’t give them a third try. Many have said the same thing, they’ve done nothing wrong. Fuck ’em!
That’s truly a shame. I can guess why it’s being done, but the problem is that the fear of losing advertisers makes them over-correct rather than using common sense and just do better curation of adult content.
So glad I’ve been following here on your website since before NT. keep doing what you’re doing, the bate community will be here eager to see what’s next!
I only had an account there to follow other bators. I logged in this morning and kept getting the “your search took too long” error. When it finally loaded my feed was shit. All the accounts I followed have gone. They’ve killed their own platform.

Thanks for posting about this, it’s something I have suspected myself lately.
I would like to urge against suggesting the use of NewTumbl for communication with ‘blank blogs/profiles’, there are a few issues with this:
Platforms are monitoring direct messaging more than ever, some may use manual techniques but AI vendors are pushing their tech everywhere they possible can. This makes it so much easier to process and understand what’s being discussed. This may lead to other consequences e.g. being banned anyway, having your intellectual property stolen, or giving them other avenues to continue tracking you.
The other major issue with communicating with blank profiles, is that you are opening yourself up to scams.

Just got nuked about 3 minutes ago, and came across this in my search as to why. I saw several users saying they got deleted abruptly, and now it’s happened to me. Mine didn’t cover anything illegal. Just gay/hot guy stuff that I liked, and I promoted my Patreon where I write gay erotica. I got a TON of followers to come over to my Patreon and now the whole thing is lost forever. What a crock.

Looked for reason and found this post. I can’t even get to a sign on page to create a new account. Just loops back to that message. Hope nT goes bankrupt like Tumbler. They will definitely see their ad revenue decrease drastically.

As of today, 7/62023, they newTumbl, have eliminated every single blog on the site. Like you, they eliminated my blog for violation terms of service, which I did not. Will just have find friendly site

I didn’t post anything on there just used it for recreational viewing and today they shut their doors without warning. Sooooo many people are anger posting on their Twitter because they didn’t give any warning and lost everything. You played it smart
I had the exact same experience, twice was nuked with no explanation. I only reposted photos I found on the site.The second time I got back on I wasn’t allowed to “like or reblog or post anything but was able to add photos by clicking to favorites. BTW they have nothing to do with Tumblr, they are different companies not associated with each other. I was greeted today with a banner from those tumblr ass ????????????????????s, that said we hope you have enjoyed the show, or something to that effect! They can fuck ???????????????????????? off perhaps we can pull down their audience numbers on the site and give it as many negative reviews as one has patience for? well, its over, Nt is dead.
I used to have a tumblr on the old tumblr and had thousands of followers but a very dedicated core group of bators and was proudly listed as a bate focused blog. When tumblr nuked the porn, it was gone. I followed others to NT and have gradually built up another following – again, pure bate focused.
I went to login and found that it has closed. No warning.
At least tumblr gave us a chance to cache our collections.
I like posting and like sharing bate focused media. It’s primal and it’s kinda horny knowing it’s batefuel for other bators.
I used to have a blog spot – which is still there. I may think about reviving that?
I miss old tumblr and it’s capacity to
consistently deliver visual content so easily. What’s next?

Wow, so its not only my account/ feed that vanished. I’ve only ever been a viewer participant, never sent a message or posted anything louche. But my account has been booted off, and so its goodbye to so many postings and items, which were quite rare, including artistic and vintage posts. How bloody dtupid of them – no warning, no indications. Just a kick-off. And it seems very strange that the majority of people being ejected, are homos. How about a Crowd-funding, to get BuddyBait to launch a new, unrestricted and non-bigotted site, that will last?
And just 3 weeks later NewTumbl shuts down for good.

I just got annihilated last night. I was even online when it happened (thought curiously I’m still able to play videos from windows that were open to my favorites and my own blog…this will disappear as soon as those windows are ever closed). I had nearly 10,000 followers. I had a great blog and took so much care in what I reblogged. What do you recommend Buddybate? Where to go that’s trustworthy? You have a Tumblr blog again? They are completely shut down now. So that’s a win for everyone!

There was something very unusual and mysterious connected with the demise of newTumbl. I was in email contact with users who got nuked and none of us could figure out what the hell was happening. Some thought it was anti-gay but there were plenty of gay blogs that survived the initial purging.
I can tell you that there were several racist, hateful Nazi-type blogs that survived, under the guise of “free speech.”
My blog wasn’t gay – it was bi, and I didn’t post underage illegal content.
Initially, Admin/Support was very communicative and then things just went dark. Admin couldn’t be bothered to even provide “examples” of the kinds of things it was nuking, so that wasn’t helpful for bloggers.
And all information regarding ownership had been scrubbed from the internet.
Who knows what was really going on? Good riddance to them.
