So, newTumbl Is Gone… What’s Next?
On May 11th I wrote about the BuddyBate newTumbl account being nuked. Just like apparently thousands of other NSFW blogs on the platform we’d been deleted without warning, without explanation and without recourse. There were no opportunities to argue it, no methods to discover what we’d allegedly done to suffer the wrath of an outright annihilation and (most importantly) no opportunity to retrieve our content or direct our large community to an alternative.
We’d always adhered to the rules. Of course we never posted anything which could be considered illegal, that goes without saying. We were careful about what we “liked”, what we reblogged and what we ourselves posted. Our rule was always “if in doubt, don’t”.
Most of our own posts were images and gifs freely circulating on social media, or sanctioned promotional content delivered by studios as affiliate materials.
In our previous post I predicted newTumbl was not going to last much longer, but I really didn’t expect it to take less than a month.
So, where to now?
We are looking at joining other social media sites and continuing to build our community, the problem is finding the right one to focus on, accessible to our readers, and one with good moderation.
There is one which seems promising:
Very much like traditional Tumblr. It’s VERY buggy and you have to change your settings to view NSFW content and label your blog as such, but once you do you’ll be able to search for other bator blogs to follow. We’re still working it out but we have a new account there which you can find here: https://buddybate.reblogme.com/
While it’s not the busiest site there are a few bator blogs there already and we hope we can attract more.
Of course, you can also join our mailing list and at least be a part of this great community here.
We do have a forum here. It’s small, friendly, horny, and bator specific. Being a forum it doesn’t have the functionality of a site like Twitter, newTumbl or Reddit, but you can at least post pics and communicate among yourselves.
Just as newTumbl came and went like a first time bator in a restroom, there will be other social media companies popping up all the time and we plan to keep on top of it. We really enjoyed posting at newTumbl and reposting plenty of you guys, we hope you’ll at least check us out at reblogme.com and help establish the bator community there.

Losing NT has been hard (and not in the good way). At a bit of a loss TBH. I tried RedGIFs which has a lot of content irrelevant to me but is quite good for NSFW and it’s broadened my wank bank a bit – a younger set I would say. And then I tried PillowFort which is just weird. Have to really hunt for the stuff I find hot. Will try your suggestion Brad because I trust buddybate as a the true voice of blokes helping each other out. Keep it up. Love your work. Off to the gym now to see if I can wank off a few kilos in the showers. Cheers
PS. My old Fave of all time is cumm.co.uk and that has been a mainstay of my wanking for years. He too had a near death prob with his site a few months ago but is bouncing back. He has a whole compendium of male sexuality to read about and captures the essence of make sexual fluidity. A very good cumplement to your work on Buddybate bi the way, butt mind you, take a Kleenex when you read it and see his gorgeous pics.
I think Twitter really replaced NT for me. I stopped using it once I really got going and so didn’t even notice the loss of NT
Can you suggest some Twitter follows? Don’t really know where to find this type of stuff on there
