Why dose this site make it so difficult to connect with others, I have to jump through hoops to pm people, can't post contact information in personals. Can anything be done to make one on one communication a bit easier?

Hi,
Unfortunately, GDPR law (which all of the EU and UK have employed) states that user information has to be protected. We cannot confirm that an email address, physical address, or phone number, is actually yours. Allowing the free posting of such is a risk to us, and to others. We cannot facilitate the potential orchestrated harassment of people who have no involvement with our site.
This is in accordance with all other sites, too. You cannot freely post email addresses and phone numbers on sites like X, TikTok, Facebook or YouTube, because such information cannot be verified and there are a lot of weirdos out there who like to engage in harassment.
We do allow people to directly message each other using the forum. I'm not sure what hoops you're referring to other than the age-check system, which is also now UK law (and similar laws are being passed in numerous US states and all across the EU). You can only PM members who are also age-checked, we cannot allow non age-checked users access to this feature, by law.
Regarding Personal Posts, we can now change ConfirmedBator accounts into "Author" accounts also, so a personal post can now be directly linked to your user account as a member. Posts can't be assigned to a user retroactively, however, as personal posts don't include a record of the email of the submitter once the submission is deleted.
If you would like to submit a personal post I can assign it directly to your user account, as I can see you are a ConfirmedBator.
As always, you can post social media accounts where other readers can contact you off-site, if you'd prefer.
I hope this helps.
Brad
