New BuddyBate lapel pins, your opinion
Hey guys!
We have another batch of the extremely popular BuddyBate Lapel pins on the way and they’ll be available soon (sign up to the newsletter to be notified before we announce publicly, we could sell out).
We also have some new temporary tattoos on the way, for guys to wear at the gym, at the beach, at festivals or during a visit to the sauna or men’s club.
In the meantime, we’ve been hearing from bators that they would love a few different styles of pin. There are a few ideas we’d like to put to you just to see what you all think.
Brazen Bator Pin
While most of you get that the design needs to be unique and subtle (because there are a lot of bators who prefer to keep their community involvement secret), a few of you have asked for a more obvious pin with the site logo. Of course, only those who visit the site would recognize it, but this would still be a lot more obvious and blatant than the more discreet design we currently have. It would be a pin displaying the round part of our website logo at the top of this page.

As you all know, some bators are down for just solo stroking in the company of other guys while they’re watching porn, others are cool with lending a buddy a hand, some are down for group events with three or more bators. We’ve been asked about the prospect of adjusting the colors of the existing BuddyBate pin to denote these different aspects of the community, allowing guys to show off what they’re specifically into.

We’ve sold thousands of pins, buttons and stickers to bators all around the world, and now we’re looking at venues and men’s clubs where you can meet and socialize or organize events with each other. The addition of the Meet-Up section of the site (we’re still working on it) means that we might be able to team up with venues to give you special discounts or arrange meets specifically for those who have a Lapel Pin. Would you be interested in seeing events being held where your Pin gets you in, or grants you a discount or other benefits? Would you visit one of these venues to buy a new pin and check out the facilities while you’re there? We hope that if this becomes popular such venues might wish to attract new bators for events and assist in promoting the community.

We’re always looking at ways to promote the use of our pins and expand the reach of our growing global community and we’re always interested in how you guys would like to use them. If we can work with other bators in organizing events and arranging meet-ups we think that would be a great use of our pins and help to spread the word.

I probably wouldn’t get the brazen pin because I like the original and its subtle enough that i can make up anything about it if someone asks and some of my buddies might have accidentally seen the site logo on social media and start asking questions.
I don’t think I need the different strokes pins either because i just like to take every situation as it comes. sometimes i might swap cocks with a bator and other times it might just be watching porn with a friend it all depends on them and i think a different pin might put some guys off.
I love the last one. I’m (mostly) straight so i never went to a sauna or bathhouse or anything like that but if I knew one of the clubs in NYC was just open for us bators at a special time and we could just show our pins to do it or get a discount I would go to every meet there!

Thanks for the feedback. We think the partnership option is probably one of the best ideas we’ve had for use of the pins too. We would love for local venues to adopt a bate group for hosting events, it might be a perfect way for them to attract a new audience and keep business going for them on quiet nights or during the day. I think even a lot of our members who might never have been to a sauna, bathhouse or men’s club before might consider it if they knew a bator group was meeting there. It could be a win/win for those venues and our community.
I might get the brazen bator pin for when I’m out at the pub or playing footie or something but I really like the idea of the discounts pin. I know there are some jack off clubs in the UK and there’s a few adult cinemas and things so it would be cool to get into meet ups with a pin.
Brad, I completely agree with what Str8Bates said on all three points!
However, regarding the Brazen Pin, while I do think it’s a great idea for some guys, I suspect a possible vast remainder of us still prefer the anonymity factor.
Also, if the Brazen Pin creates ANY connection with any of the color, shape, design, etc. to the original pins or website… think about this, when the “Haters” of the Brazen Pins make their vicious opinions loudly heard, and if there are any connections whatsoever, then that could likely bring down the entire BuddyBate’s original intent.
Brad, yes, I think there’s room for both types of pins, and I think it’s important to provide both to the entire world, but separately! I also think there needs to be absolutely no similarities between the two. I suspect it will be tricky, and possibly dangerous to try to bring these two together without causing harm to the original brilliant BuddyBate idea. That would be tragic!
(An after thought) Possibly a specific “Brazen” page to stave off the Haters, yet somehow allow a back entrance for the rest to enter the BuddyBate website.
I really like the idea of special events around the world where the pins get you access to the party. That’s a great plan and I would definitely go to one in NY. It would be cool if you could buy the pins at saunas and spas too. We have some great men’s clubs in NY and I think they would welcome bator events to fill their quiet times like on Sunday mornings or Monday nights.
