Hey Brad,
Just wanted to tell you that I received my BuddyBate buttons yesterday, thank you.
The design is even better than I expected. They look so nondescript that no one would ever suspect anything. However, we FINALLY have something that we all will recognize straight away!
We’re in every community, we just don’t know one another yet. That’s why the BuddyBate logo merch is such a great tool. I’m looking forward to stickers, I can see how they will be advantageous and applicable in so many ways, not just bumper stickers.
Brad, thank you for taking a simple idea and bringing it to the world!

Glad you’ve got them. It’s has taken a little while to get into the swing of things, this being our first attempt at offering merch of any kind, but I think we’ve got a good system down now so customers should be getting theirs with a much shorter wait.
The design is something we struggled with for a few weeks. As you say, we wanted it to be meaningless to anyone who doesn’t get it, but obvious to everyone who does, and while looking attractive and innocuous enough that you could make up anything about its meaning if someone asked.
I think we achieved that with this design, but it also allows us to develop variations of the design in the future if we decide to update them next year or the year after etc.
We’re going to be working on the stickers this month, we want to clear the slight backlog of button orders first and continue processing them daily, which should be done in the next week. It was all quite a bit more popular than we had expected, as you can see from the BuddyBate map!

I got mine yesterday. Put it on immediately and not planning to take it off any time soon! Hopefully I’ll start seeing some other wankers around London looking to enjoy some wanks. Cheers!
Got mine this week and can’t wait to find other guys wearing one. I thought they would be more obvious than they are but I like the design and the way it looks kind of like the logo here but not enough to be obvious to anyone who doesn’t know what it is. I’m curious about why it’s got the year on it though.
We added the year for two reasons. First it’s because we mention a “Social Club” on them and it’s kind of like a membership badge in that way, so it just seemed right to have the year. We also though it would be a good opportunity to date them so we can maybe change the design in the future and offer something different for 2019. If we do that we wouldn’t change it too much so anyone who has a 2018 button will still recognize any new one we release.
