What’s that spurting dick icon on the BuddyBate map?

Eagle-eyed readers of the BuddyBate blog who check the map now and then might have noticed in the last week that a new icon appeared, I thought maybe we should explain.

As you probably know, there are now three types of icon on the map:

This is the standard pin on the map and they indicate towns and cities where readers have bought BuddyBate buttons or stickers. We use them to show how many have been shipped to readers in that area, and include an estimate of the number of 18+ males in the area who are likely interested in sharing masturbation with other guys socially (10% of the 18+ adult male population). When someone buys BuddyBate buttons or stickers for a new town/city we add a pin to the map, or increase the numbers shown for that area if a pin already exists.

Far more rare is the red pin. These indicate known venues where groups meet or events take place. These are commercial clubs where guys can meet others exclusively for the act of shared masturbation. While we have worked hard to find as many locations as possible, there are some clubs we are unaware of. These events are usually held weekly or monthly and are ticketed, within bars or clubs and with an existing local audience of guys. They are usually very busy and they can sell out quickly. We’re always interested in adding new commercial clubs to the map, so if you know of one that isn’t shown just send us a message on the contact page with a link to their website and some further details and we’ll see about adding it.

The NEW icon! This is the fun little icon we added recently and we intend it to show how many guys in a specific area have visited. It’s a good way to encourage participation and allows us to show the potential for each area. While there are potentially millions of places where we could add this little icon, we’re taking it slow and adding it to specific areas where we’re seeing a more significant interest in the site and the BuddyBate social club project. When you see this icon on the map you can click it to find a rough indication of how many guys in that city/town have shown an interest but haven’t yet bought buttons or stickers. It might encourage you to be the first to get yours for that area, or might be replaced with a blue and white pin (above) when someone else decides to buy theirs.

Want to check your area? Click through to the map and see if there’s a pin in your town/city. If not, we’ll add a blue and white pin when you get your buttons or stickers, or maybe just add a spurting icon at some point in the future to indicate how many guys have visited.
