Would you like Merch?
It’s something we’ve thought about before, but I think it might be time to resurrect this idea and put it to a vote.
Imagine you’re out at a bar or working out at the gym and you see a dude you think might be into the idea of bating with a guy. How do you know? Well, you might know because he’s wearing a t-shirt with a very specific logo on it that he could have only found here, or maybe he’s got a patch on his jacket or a pin on his sports bag?
We’re playing with the idea of creating a simple and subtle design that would look completely innocuous to the average person, but would serve as a symbol for guys like you, guys who would be more than interested in getting your cock out with a dude and sharing a bate session.
We could even include specific colors or subtle design changes to show what kind of action a guy might be interested in, from simple side-by-side bating to swapping cocks, or frotting.
So, assuming we can find a way to create this merch and limit its sale to visitors of our site, is it something you would be interested in?

I would be interested! I think there are companies where you can start your own merch shop and upload designs and they do the rest. I don’t know how they would feel about adult connotations though, or if you can limit who can buy them. If you do it I’ll order a t-shirt and a few badges for me and my buddies 🙂

Any ideas of what the logo would look like?
The one in the header pic is something we’ve worked on. It would need to be subtle but obvious to those who recognize it. We want to incorporate the colour scheme from the site, and any design would need to be able to be used on various items 🙂

I made a sticker out of my avatar at jacknbro on tumblr just for that reason. For outsiders it is to bring awareness to Prostate disease/cancer and Testicular Cancer. For like minded fellas it means that you enjoy jacking off alone or with friends. For lack of a better idea. I can’t wait to see what you guys come up w/.

Hey John! We’re working on buttons/badges at the moment, first shipment is on the way to us. We’re also looking at keyrings, patches, t-shirts and more. After the buttons, as kind of a test to see how popular they are, we’ll be looking at finding a company able to handle the manufacturing and shipping, but without whatever designs we choose being open to general sale. The problem we have is that a lot of the companies like Teespring make a product available to anyone and that wouldn’t work for us, because the entire principle of selling merch is that if you see someone wearing the design you know they’re down for a bate. If you have any ideas please let me know!

Hi Mark, interesting idea! We have looked at the metal and enamel pins, and that might be something we look at next year, they take a little more investment and setting up and they would cost more so we’re not sure how popular they would be. We’ve also thought about the prospect of coming up with an abbreviation, something like “BBISC” (BuddyBate International Social Club) for instance.
