Why we didn’t post about Chris Evans showing the world his cock

First we need to say thanks to the several readers who submitted comments on the website alerting us to the fact that Captain America had accidentally shared a photo of his (impressive looking) cock with the world. We knew, of course. You’d have to be living under a rock to not have stumbled across that photo at some point in the following days.

You might be asking why we didn’t talk about it on the blog or mention it on social media (you know we’re on NewTumbl, right?) A lot of sites were shamelessly promoting it and spreading it around, but we knew we wouldn’t join them.

Why?

Ultimately it’s about respecting someone’s privacy. While we see numerous random guys on the blog in header pics or in compilations of photos for a post, and we share a lot of random guys over on NewTumbl too, all of them are either willingly displaying themselves or are unidentified. That’s not the case with Chris Evans. There’s a reasonable assumption of willingness and intent in most cases, but there clearly wasn’t in this instance.

He didn’t intend to post his cock for us all to see, and he wasn’t anonymous when he was doing it. He’s a very well known person who can’t hide behind anonymity or denial. No one really cares if a UPS guy from Texas flashes his cock and takes a photo to share on Twitter, or at least if we do care we don’t know his name, it’s unlikely anyone he works with or knows will find out about it, and it’s not likely to have an impact on his life.

I personally felt that it would have been a breach of privacy to take glee in his accidental exposure.

And what was there for us to discuss? That he’s a man who has a cock and he likes to jack off? None of that is a surprise.

I guess we could have talked about how nice his cock looks, and how much we’d probably all love to kick back with him watching a porn movie and jerking off. I can very easily tell you that I’ve been thinking about that for far longer than his dick pic has been out there lol

Maybe we can talk about body positivity instead and mention the fact that women don’t have it nearly as easy. It’s true, and we all kinda know it. Chris Evans was treated more respectfully for an accidental upload than any female celebrity has been after having their lives invaded, their property and private moments criminally stolen from them and published.

Many pointed this out after the fact, suggesting that it was indicative of a societal problem. I tend to agree. We should be treating everyone with the same level of respect he received when fans started spamming social media with pics of him and his puppy to drown out the ogling. Chris Evans can get away with smirking and blushing and saying it was stupid, and that’s it. Women don’t seem to have that luxury, in most cases.

So, that’s why we didn’t share the pic here or on social media, or even talk about it until now. It would have been different if Mr. Evans decided to leave the pic up or post it elsewhere voluntarily, but he clearly doesn’t intend to be some kind of sex positive crusader in that respect.
